    (book and lyrics). (Their first was Oklahoma!)The 1945 work was adapted from
    Ferenc Molnár
    's 1909 play
    Liliom
    , transplanting its
    Budapest
    setting to the
    Maine
    coastline. The original Broadway production opened at the
    Majestic Theatre
    on April 19, 1945. The original production ran for 890 performances, closing on May 24, 1947. This particular performance took place about 1 month prior to show closing.
    Has cast bios and some nice vintage advertisements. A nice collectible piece of Broadway Theater history!
