Description
Wood frame packboard is 24" tall. Has an army-green canvas that attaches by means of hook and rings. Canvas has a tin-cloth type finish. It is well marked by stencil 'USFS - 4- Waldport' (likely Waldport Oregon) By the top USFS mark it is marked 'American Seating Co 3-15-45'. This was likely US Army surplus that was repurposed by the Forest Service back in the 1940's.There is one small hole in canvas under backpack flap (see last photo), some wear to upper corners of wood frame (see 2nd to last photo). The straps that come over the shoulders have 2 different buckles - one regular and one interesting long-tongued buckle. Cord lacing could stand to be replaced. Still, this is a very sturdy pack
