, the third chapter of the terrifying "Halloween" franchise!
These cards are absolutely beautiful and the best quality you will find on ebay. All cards are in
NEAR MINT/
MINT
condition and have been well preserved since I acquired them over 35+ years ago.
These are
NOT
reproductions. This set was issued directly by the National Screen Service (NSS), Litho printed with the GAU union logo and assigned the identifying number of 820145.
They have never been displayed
and as such there are no pinholes, tape, tears or missing paper. The colors are rich and robust. Edges are clean, sharp and well-defined. Some very minor light tanning to the back of the cards which is common for original cards that are 36 years old. These are truly investment quality.
Lobby cards were issued to movie theaters to assist in the promotion of a film's theatrical engagement. Along with original movie posters, all original movie marketing material was to be returned to the NSS or destroyed after a film's theatrical exhibition. These were never meant to be circulated among the general public and are truly rare and highly sought after by movie memorabilia collectors and enthusiasts.
Lobby cards were generally issued in two sizes. The standard size measure 8" x 10" and generally contain a scene from the movie on each and the film's title. Deluxe lobby cards usually contain the same images as the standard set, however, they are larger measuring 11" x 14" and usually contain artwork (generally from the one sheet movie poster), complete list of movie credits and MPAA rating. Since the deluxe set contain the scenes and artwork, they are considered more desirable and collectible.
This set comes from my extensive personal collection of original movie memorabilia which I have been collecting for over 38 years. These lobby cards are stunning and the photos don't do them justice. You'll be hard pressed to find a better (or complete) set of the deluxe lobby cards as
these are very scarce!
The cards have been stored flat, boarded in an acid free printer's proofing box and come from a smoke-free, pet-free and climate controlled environment.
