    Description

    Named CCC Grouping
These Items were owned by a man named John Shamp of Laporte Indiana. Mr Shamp worked for the Rumely Tractor factory until the factory sold to Allis Chalmers and then for Allis Chalmers when the company changed hands in 1931. When the pressure of the great depression started to take its toll on the tractor industry Mr Shamp went to work for the CCC from about 1933 to  1935.
I acquired this group directly from Mr Shamp's Daughter and it has been enjoyed as part of my personal collection for a considerable time. This grouping consists of a copy of the book "We Can Take It" a short story of the CCC by Ray Hoyt, a cool American flag sheild shaped patch and a small photo of a CCC work crew. The book is in good condition and has his name and the date May 19 1935 written on the first page.
    Great piece of American history
