    This is a rare December 1948 "Playgoer" playbill from the National Tour engagement of the groundbreaking RICHARD RODGERS and OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II musical comedy "OKLAHOMA!" at the Court Square Theatre in Springfield, Massachusetts. (The production opened March 31st, 1943 at the St. James Theatre in New York City and ran for 2212 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) ..... The ensemble cast included EDITH GRESHAM, WILTON CLARY, ANN CROWLEY, JOHN ALDA, ALLEN SHARP, WILLIAM SUTHERLAND, JAMES PARNELL, MURVYN VYE, JACQUELINE DANIELS, HY ANZEL, MARIANNA PETERSON, ALICIA KRUG, MAE MUTH, BEATRICE LYNN, JOAN HANSEN, JEAN GENEBACH, FLORENZ AMES, OWEN MARTIN, VLADIMIR KOSTENKO, ROY MILTON and JOE LANDIS

CONDITION: With the exception of light creasing and minor soiling to the cover, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
