This is a rare April 18th, 1949 "Stagebill" playbill from the Post-Broadway engagement of the RICHARD RODGERS and OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II musical "ALLEGRO" at the Great Northern Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. (The production opened October 10th, 1947 at the Majestic Theatre in New York City and ran for 315 performances before going on the road.) ..... The ensemble cast included WILLIAM CHING, ROBERTA JONAY, JAMES JEWELL, MARIJANE MARICLE, ALAN MANSON, KATHRYN MEISLE, MARY LA ROCHE, WALTER DAVIS, PATRICIA BARKER, SYLVIA KARLTON, EARL GILBERT, JOHN CONNOR and HARRISON MULLER ..... CONDITION: This playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
