I had this signed in Person with Peter Mayhew (now sadly deceased) at the Second Annual Quad Cities Star Trek and Star Wars convention at the Holiday Inn, in Davenport Iowa.

Why does it cost to ship this item in the continental U.S.?
Because
Shipping will be by Priority, fully insured, with signature delivery (Will have to be signed for upon delivery) with tracking and it has to be packed into a larger box (due to the size) for shipping at a parcel Depot store.
