Viking V4800 Residential Fast Response Concealed Horizontal Sidewall Fire Sprinkler delivers decorative, competitively-priced defense against fire in ordinary hazard residential occupancies such as homes, apartments, dormitories, and hotels. Using a heat-activated soldered link and lever assembly, this automatic fire sprinkler opens when ambient temperatures reach 165F (74C), reducing the likelihood of flashover and facilitating safe evacuation.
The included low-profile cover plate mounts flush to nearby walls and is available in a custom finish by special order or in one nine standard finishes, including: white, ivory, black, antique brass, brushed brass, brushed chrome, bright brass, polished chrome, or brushed copper. When temperatures near the ceiling reach 135F (57C), the soldered cover plate detaches, exposing the head of the Viking VK4800 concealed horizontal sidewall fire sprinkler, which activates when temperatures reach 165F (68C).
The Viking Model V4800 has a 4.0 K-Factor and installs with 1/2" (12.7 mm) National Pipe Thread (NPT), used in fire sprinkler systems throughout the United States. This Residential Fast Response Fire Sprinkler features a lead-free design in compliance with the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act, including a brass body, brass deflector ring, and a nickel-alloy sealing assembly with PFTE. With a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI (12.1 BAR), this horizontal sidewall sprinkler installs on a wall or the side of a beam where ceiling piping is not desirable and may be installed and used in accordance with NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, NFPA 13D and local fire code.
