Description
Mae West made her fame and fortune based on her seductive character, and throaty voice. She wrote a number of plays that closed down - due either to poor ticket sales, or because they were too racy, and were closed down on moral grounds! Diamond Lil written by her in 1928, was her first Broadway success. It featured her as an 1890's seductress. Her character didn't really change in all her movies and plays, just the circumstances in which she played her character.
This partial playbill is the cover, plus 4 additional pages, from the Coronet Theatre in New York, for February 7, 1949. The picture on the cover actually is a much younger Mae West, than she would have been in 1949!
The playbill includes all the important show information, but was truncated by whoever owned it.
It is great for framing - the cover is a yellow beige, but would have been printed that way. It is in good condition with no creases or damage.

All my packages are tracked, but if for some reason you don't receive your item or it arrives broken, I will refund your money.
